3 million pilgrims from all over the world attended mass on Copacabana Beach. MTD provided the temporary water supplies which met stringent requirements. 15 million liters of drinking water was made available. Wastewater was filtered before being discharged into the local sewer system.
Summer Olympics, Rio de Janeiro 2016
MTD provided the water infrastructure for 70 venues. These points include toilets, kitchens, athletes villages and public water drinking points all were connected by MTD. 143 kilometers of pipe line was installed, 600 U2 waste pumps and 300 water booster pumps were used to connect all facilities. To ensure sufficient water supply, 80 buffer bags were used. All drinking water was secured by water improvement units. Water quality was monitored 24 hours a day.
Hurricane Disaster Relief, Puerto Rico 2017
MTD provided temporary water and waste infrastructure services to the temporary volunteer villages. This included the supply and connection of toilets, showers, drinking water facilities and kitchen areas. On site technicians were provided to ensure the quality of the water system during relief efforts.
On average, MTD provides water and waste infrastructures to around 1,500 events and industry related projects every year. The industries related to these projects include defense, events, festivals, fairs, disaster relief, exposition, offshore and temporary base camps.
