  • Emma worked for the largest health system in Illinois and one of the largest health care providers in the Midwest.  The health system operating more than 250 sites of care, including 12 hospitals, four teaching hospitals, the state’s largest integrated children’s network, five Level I trauma centers, three Level II trauma centers, one of the area’s largest home health care companies and one of the region’s largest medical groups.
  • In over 30 years of experience, she committed to various roles including a supervisor and a staff nurse with pediatric experience in both pediatric intensive care and neonatal intensive care. Has worked as a hospital Inpatient Care manager and Emergency Department Care manager responsible to achieve the care of hospitalized patients for over 39.
  • Emma was accountable for reducing hospital readmissions, decreasing the length of stay, cost-efficient resource utilization, prevention of unnecessary emergency room visits, proactive coordination, and timely transition of assigned patients to the most appropriate level of care along the continuum.
  • Many years of experience of working collaboratively with Physicians, Nursing, members of the multidisciplinary team, Outpatient Services, Ambulatory Clinics, Home Care as well as other resources external to the organization.
  • As a Senior Clinical Consultant, Emma has provided consulting services to clients including, but not limited to, workflow assessments, organizational change readiness, behavior change management, recommendations to help modernize clinical services using electronic health records, training activities, and post-conversion adoption and sustainment activities.
  • This role also includes assisting healthcare organizations in optimizing their care delivery processes, governance and communication structures, achieving performance improvement, and driving measurable outcomes. 
  • Working with various Health Care facilities such as Healthquest, Kaleida Health, and the University of Texas, Emma has been providing consulting services with current contributions for two years at Intermountain Health Care. 
  • Intermountain Health Care contributions inclusive of change management, training activities, and conversion go-live support of six hospitals.  The implementation of PowerChart-Inpatient of their 289-bed Children’s Hospital helped develop organizational strategies assessment, and the development of optimized future state process flows.  Emma has been integral in providing and creating workflow assessments and recommendations for various programs such as pediatric sedation, behavior health, cardiovascular, pediatric oncology, bone marrow transplant, solid organ transplant for both inpatient and the ambulatory setting to meet Meaningful Use, JCAHO, and CMS requirements.
  • Emma is involved with Inpatient, Ambulatory, Iterative process, and Clinically Driven Revenue Cycle projects as well.  She is certified to train in various Cerner’s solutions such as PowerChart-Inpatient Nurse, Ambulatory, Provider, and First Net. She too acts as an end-user and trains the trainer in these solutions. She is a facilitator of client meetings and workshops.
  • Conducts assessments with existing clients to produce current state leadership debrief and gap analysis.
  • Emma plays a key role as an established advisor to client leadership/executives, harnessing long-term client partnerships, leading strategic processes and operational assessments, establishing program governance as well as working directly with project leaders, subject matter experts, and end-users.
